This shouldn't be an issue as Negatron can read any unicode characters without any fuss. You can also force Negatron to interpret characters using other character encoding schemes. Can you send me one of the files that are problematic?

It's weird it should detect that the file has been changed and automatically update the cache.
A quick fix is to delete the following files in the Cache subfolder:
- info.cache
- info.item.index
- info.system.index
- info.version

Sorry, I don't have enough information to help you here. It would require me to personally go to your machine checking what's wrong. I don't really provide this kind of services... But I can imagine that the registry entries for png filetype on your machine should be a big mess :p
