Missing command to register audio and/or images

Post by elechopier »

With new 1.4.0.404 release, MP can decode audio and images files.
For silent install, it's always possible to register video formats (with /Register command)
But it's not possible to register audio formats and also images formats.
Could it be possible to add commands permitting to silently register these formats?

I knew I forgot something. I can indeed add these command line options and will do it for the next minor version.

It seems audio and image formats aren't taken into account when manually filling the thumbnail cache either. Another one for the to-do list. :)

Yes, it's on purpose.
Creating thumbnails for audio and image files is done way faster than for video files. As Windows wipes out the cache after too many generated thumbnails, including audio and image formats during filling cache would just let Windows reach the limit before wiping out faster, particularly on Windows 8 and 8.1 where the limit has been lowered.

Good morning, first I want to congratulate him on the excellent work,
I can not make a silent installer with the / Register option.
It would be that way?
Media Preview.MSI / qn / register

or am I mistaken?

Thank you!

Everything is explained @ http://babelsoft.net/products.htm#help, Unattended installation section, which is the last section.
The register option should be done with the conf tool, not with the msi package.
